This involves leveraging Python, Pytest, Playwright, and other tools to manage configurations, environments, and integrations with test case management systems. I ensure that the right tools are applied and integrated effectively to achieve comprehensive test coverage and transparent reporting of test statuses and trends. This approach has proven crucial for the success of any QA project.
How I Gained Expertise in Delivering Test Automation Solutions
I thrived as a Silicon Valley software developer for many years.
While working at VMware, I learned about an exciting new project at McAfee to secure the cloud. Intrigued by the idea of working on an innovative startup-like project within a large company, I was interviewed for a developer position. Eventually, I nailed the Principal Software Development Engineer role in Test.
It was a pivotal moment that ignited my passion for Test Automation, a field to which I am deeply dedicated. Sometimes, I wonder if my skills in Test Automation are somehow related to my hobby of juggling up to seven balls or other props simultaneously, always aiming to do it smoothly and accurately.
My expertise in test automation is evident in the thousands of lines of code I've written to automate test bed deployments and product verification using REST API and UI tests. I specialize in choosing the right tools and languages, frequently integrating them to support CI/CD. I’ve ensured successful demos and drastically reduced startups’ costs. A recent achievement I'm particularly proud of is cutting the testing time from 2 hours and 50 minutes to just 50 minutes at Machinify.
Throughout my career, I’ve held roles as a QA lead and individual contributor in several companies. I take great pride in my leadership of the Intel QA team, which was recognized as a role model team.
